CONFLICTS
In relationships—whether in business, family, or friendships—conflicts often arise due to misaligned expectations, lack of clarity, and blurred boundaries. Each relationship carries its own set of dynamics, and expecting the same behavior or outcome from different people can lead to frustration. You’ve touched on a profound truth: clarity and boundaries are essential, and they must be set by you—not handed over to others to define.
Conflicts: A Result of Unclear Boundaries and Misunderstood Expectations
When boundaries aren’t clear, confusion creeps in, and this is where conflict often begins. Trusting that everything will magically work out without first ensuring clarity only fuels potential disputes. It’s natural to want harmony and peace, but achieving it requires understanding the unique nature of each relationship, person, or business interaction.
Each individual brings their own set of values, experiences (or sanskars), and ways of functioning. Without acknowledging and respecting these differences, expectations become unrealistic, and frustration or even anger becomes inevitable. This is especially true when we try to control others’ actions or outcomes—a behavior often rooted in fear or anxiety, which escalates conflict rather than diffuses it.
